RIBOprep practice questions are original educational questions designed to make you recall, compare and apply insurance concepts. They are not live or proprietary RIBO exam questions.
What good RIBO practice should do
A useful question bank should cover more than definitions. It should make you distinguish similar coverages, apply exclusions, identify a broker's best action, perform calculations and recognize when one fact changes the answer.
Sample 1 · General
A client deliberately leaves out a serious prior loss because they think it will raise the premium. What is the main concern?
A. Deductible selection
B. Material misrepresentation
C. Co-insurance
D. Replacement cost
Correct answer: B. A prior loss can be material to underwriting. Deliberately hiding an important fact can be a material misrepresentation.
Exam trap: The question is about disclosure, not how a future claim is valued.
Sample 2 · Habitational
Heavy rain runs across the yard and enters through a basement door. Which water exposure fits best?
A. Sewer backup
B. Overland water
C. Theft
D. Equipment breakdown
Correct answer: B. The water flowed over the surface of the ground before entering the building.
Exam trap: Basement water is not automatically sewer backup. Follow the path of the water.
Sample 3 · Automobile
In a qualifying DCPD loss, the insured is 20% at fault. What share does DCPD focus on?
A. 20%
B. 50%
C. 80%
D. 100%
Correct answer: C. DCPD focuses on the not-at-fault property-damage share, which is 80% in this example.
Exam trap: Collision coverage deals with the at-fault share when that coverage applies.
